Nalagarh is the Gateway to Himachal Pradesh, a beautiful foothill station founded in 1098 AD by the Chandela Rajputs who were patrons of art and architecture. Nalagarh Fort located at the foothills of the Himalayas is situated atop a hillock with a panoramic view of Shivalik Hills. The fort which has today been converted to a Heritage Resort has a Mughal influence and is built at 5 levels with beautiful well manicured lawns. Nalagarh is the capital of the kingdom of "Hindur" founded by Raja Ajai Chand in 1100 A.D. during the British rule. It was ruled by the Chandela Rajputs who originate from Chanderi in the Bundelkhand region of Central India. The famous Khajuraho Temples were built by the Chandela Kings of yore. The Fort was built during the reign of Raja Bikram Chand in 1421. The present Raja of Nalagarh & his relatives extend a Royal Welcome.
The Fort Nalagarh, with its 600 year old heritage combined with breathtaking views of Shivalik mountain range, provides a perfect backdrop for a heritage royal wedding.
For your special day we offer you personalized wedding planning services. This includes themed decoration, menu selection and catering options, and even wrapping of the wedding gifts. We can arrange for everything - including an elephant, camel or an entourage of royal turturi players for your baraat to get that royal feel.
For your destination wedding or for out of town guests the fort can accommodate 140 guests in our luxurious rooms. While the sprawling lawns, that can accommodate around 500 people, are the preferred choice for evening functions, the banquet hall can be used as an indoor venue for functions.
The rooftop & poolside dining facility can also be provided upon request. What's more, the 600 year old Ganesha temple within the Fort can be used for conducting the rituals of the wedding.
